It All Started In 70’s When Hippies discovered Anjuna beach and the beach became famous after they started the Anjuna flea market. The famous flea market was called the hippie market they traded their clothes shoes and household things to local Goans. Therefore this trade was given the name hippie market now the famous flea marketThey also started techno trance parties the hippies introduced live music in Anjuna. After that came the Israelis in the late 80s lots of foreigners from different places put up different stalls like clothes jewelry leather etc.
We were among them selling second-hand organic clothes like Levi’s Dr. Martin shoe cameras etc. Which we bought in the flea market and sold
slowly we started our food stall in the flea market selling Jewish greek food and Lebanese food.
We finally thought of opening our own small shack and we named it Janet and Johns
Janet and Johns became famous for our middle easter and amezing sea food buffet in the 90s we were the first to start live music rock reggae &jazzWe were among them selling second-hand organic clothes like Levi’s Dr. Martin shoe cameras etc. Which we bought in the flea market and sold slowly we started our food stall in the flea market selling Jewish greek food and Lebanese food. On Anjuna beach, we had live performances like fire juggling and belly dancing by the hippies bonfire night on the beach Beautiful sunset white sand good food good ambiance just a few shacks Shortly the Russians came in and our buffet went to 2 times a week Monday and Thursday now we are here to serve all different tourists more Indian tourists like we said we changed the trend slowly Bollywood music to was introduced to Janet and johnsIt’s a must-visit place the waiters are friendly and at your service, the sunsets are extremely beautiful.
You can lay down on the deck beds and watch the beautiful sunset with lovely music and chilled beers and amazing cocktails You can dine by the sea with candel light and the stars shining in the sky above.
The restaurant has a ground and first floor with a beach view entirely We have wifi covering all areas We have beautiful rooms You can book online as well as at the reception lots of parking space for our guests vehicles.
